Gomes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gomes gets off balance looking for a body kick#TD2#
and Cuervo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Cuervo is nestled in close to Gomes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Cuervo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gomes!
Cuervo postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Gomes badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Cuervo around the waist but Cuervo pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Cuervo is the winner by TKO! Cuervo jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Jose Cuervo tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. |
