Kapanen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sansho is defended easily by Kapanen.
Saku Kapanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hitashi Sansho.

Sansho is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kapanen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sansho.

Sansho finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Kapanen's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Sansho falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Hitashi Sansho avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yakami Sansho.
Well Yakami Sansho has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
