Kent advances position into side control! Whitehead regains half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Whitehead keeps working. Whitehead preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. #T1# Whitehead has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Whitehead is looking to improve his position.

#R1# Whitehead lands a really nice looking cross but Rosario seems unphased.
Rosario connects with a body shot. Whitehead misses with a hook. Rosario ducked under it nicely. #CL2# Whitehead moves into range and clinches up with Rosario. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Whitehead has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#TD2# Whitehead gets control of Rosario's arms and successfully pulls guard. Whitehead will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Whitehead tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whitehead pulls Rosario in close to his closed guard and prevents Rosario from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samaki makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Whitehead swings wildly with an uppercut but Samaki uses good head movement to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Whitehead stalling in the clinch but Samaki improves position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A right handed body shot lands from Samaki.
