Chikorita is looking to clinch. Pereira bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chikorita's head. Chikorita tries to clinch and Pereira counters with a stiff right hand. Pereira throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chikorita. We've been hearing reports that Pereira has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Pereira circles away from the clinch attempt and Pereira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pereira keeps the fight on the outside. Chikorita darts in trying to clinch and Chikorita takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #T1# Pereira uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chikorita has time to react. Pereira smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Sansho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pereira circles away quickly and effectively. A jab from Pereira does it's job there.#KD2# Pereira walks into a big right hand from Sansho and goes down! The referee sends Sansho to a neutral corner as Pereira gets back to his feet. Andre Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pereira cracks Sakamoto with a right hand to the side of the head. Pereira throws a right and a left that Sakamoto avoids nicely. Pereira throws a big shot that misses. Sakamoto was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD# Chikorita closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pereira to the mat! Pereira manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chikorita (2) vs (0) Pereira Chikorita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chikorita stopping the sweep attempt from Pereira. Pereira not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
