Birdwhistle looks to land a left hand but Krause moved out of range nicely. Krause takes one to the chin there. Birdwhistle looks to land a right hand but Krause moved out of range. Krause with the counter takedown but Birdwhistle avoids it easily.#TD# Birdwhistle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Birdwhistle sitting and controlling from the half guard. Krause tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krause missing with punches from the bottom.
Birdwhistle uses his free foot to push down on Krause's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Krause. Krause manages to regain half guard.
