Ferreira wants to clinch up but Powell keeps it at a distance.

The referee is keeping an eye on Powell - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ferreira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#TD#
Powell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Powell pulls Ferreira in close to his closed guard and prevents Ferreira from doing any damage or advancing position.

Ferreira is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Powell has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ferreira is looking to defend but Powell has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ferreira! Powell pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ferreira taps out and this one is all over!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carmont lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ferreira has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ferreira and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ferreira lands a head shot.
Carmont avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carmont lands a jab to the head.
Carmont misses with a looping left.
Ferreira tries to clinch up but Carmont circles away and keeps his distance.
Carmont will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Carmont is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ferreira wants to get back to his feet but Carmont is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ferreira throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Carmont slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Carmont passes Ferreira's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Carmont could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#T3#

Carmont is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game. #SUB#
Carmont has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ferreira defend it? Carmont steps over the head and cranks it - Ferreira is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Carmont!
