Onigawa slips a straight right by Thatcherton. Thatcherton cracks Onigawa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Thatcherton lands a jab to Onigawa's midsection. Thatcherton misses with a telegraphed body shot

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Thatcherton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thatcherton landing with the ground and pound. GoT working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Thatcherton. #T1# Thatcherton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. GoT avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #CL# Black closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Thatcherton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Black has him pressed against the cage. Thatcherton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.#TD# Thatcherton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Black is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Thatcherton to the mat. Thatcherton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Black stopping the sweep attempt from Thatcherton. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimmy Black. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Black, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
