and Hickman counters with a nice leg kick.
Merry misses with a few strikes there.
Hickman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Young Bob Merry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Merry does no damage.
Hickman wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Merry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hickman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hickman dives in for a single leg takedown but Merry sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hickman is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Hickman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Merry up against the cage.

Merry drops Hickman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hickman looks back up at him and smiles so Merry waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

I think Hickman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
