The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banton prevents Webb from escaping the position. Ramirez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Let's hope that Ramirez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ramirez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Ramirez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#CL2# Ramirez drives through and clinches with Banton against the cage.

#R1# Ribeiro misses with a kick to the body #TD2# and Banton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ribeiro won't be happy with that. Banton is staying tight to Ribeiro's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribeiro looking for a sweep but Banton has passed into full mount! Oh no! Ribeiro tries to lock up and control but Banton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Banton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ribeiro is just holding on here. Banton manages to take his back.
