Makhachev tries for a takedown but Page circles away easily and Makhachev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Page stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Page wants it to stay on the feet. Michael Page has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Islam Makhachev. Makhachev throws a big shot that misses. Makhachev on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Page is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Page slaps away a takedown attempt from Makhachev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Makhachev takes one to the chin there. Page throws a right and a left that Makhachev avoids nicely. Makhachev closes the distance and clinches up with Page, looking for a takedown. Makhachev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Page to score with a decent uppercut. Makhachev passes easily into side control. Nice work.
