#R1# Chang throws a low kick, looking for Yevgraf's leg but Yevgraf calmly moves out of range. Yevgraf tries to counter by clinching up but Chang breaks away and moves out of range.#CL# Yevgraf pushes Chang up against the cage in a clinch. Chang throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Yevgraf presses Chang against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. We've been hearing reports that Yevgraf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Yevgraf lands an uppercut. The referee calls for Chang to work.
Chang has Yevgraf pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yevgraf manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A nice left hand lands by Yevgraf.
Chang wants to break the clinch but can't.

Yevgraf lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Yevgraf on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Yevgraf is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chang is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yevgraf accidentally thumps the mat. A good leg kick by Chang. Yevgraf throws a right and a left that both miss. Yevgraf scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chang doesn't seem bothered though. Chang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Yevgraf. Chang tries for a takedown but Yevgraf circles away easily letting Yevgraf counter with a right hand. Borislav Yevgraf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxwell Chang. Yevgraf misses the shot to the body. Chang looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. A swing and a miss from Yevgraf. Chang throws a head kick that misses. #T4# Chang slips under a jab. Chang counters with a body kick. Chang on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Yevgraf misses with a looping left. Chang changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Chang lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chang throws the kick towards the body but Yevgraf avoids it. Chang tries a head kick but it misses.

Back to the action!#R2# Yevgraf throws a right hand that Chang ducks under and follows up with a left that Chang also avoids with ease. Chang seems to have recovered his senses. Chang throws a head kick but Yevgraf moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Yevgraf on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Chang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yevgraf loads up on a big right hand but Chang slips the punch. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chang lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yevgraf has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yevgraf and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Yevgraf is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chang can do to turn this around?#CL# Yevgraf closes the distance and pushes Chang back into the cage. Yevgraf unloads with some shots from mount but Chang bucks and avoids them well.

He's pushed Chang off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Chang screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Chang scores with a kick to the midsection. Chang throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT#It looks like Fabrice Trausch has been cut. Chang feints and then cracks Trausch's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Trausch down. Chang looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
#KD# Chang throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Trausch stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Chang follows into mount! #ROC#Trausch is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB# Chang has control of Trausch's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Trausch regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Trausch is still in real trouble! Can Chang finish him? Chang controlling the position easily from mount. #SUB# Chang working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Trausch seems to have recovered his senses.#SUB# Chang jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle�. Ooooh, that looks tight� Trausch is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Trausch and Chang has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Chang wants to control but Trausch is keeping him busy. #T1# Trausch is trying to escape and get back to his feet.#SUB# Chang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. #SUB# Chang has hold of Trausch's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Trausch tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chang cranks the arm and Trausch screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Trausch, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Chang thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Andrade if he has to take too many more of those.
Chang goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Chang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Andrade.#KD# Chang connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Andrade to the floor! Chang dives in looking for the finish!#ROC#Andrade is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB# Chang is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Andrade is still in real trouble! Can Chang finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andrade can do anything to dispel that myth. Chang is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Andrade! Chang wants to control the pace but Andrade is squirming around nicely. Andrade seems to have recovered his senses. Chang is really struggling to control Andrade but he's trying to hold on to the position.#SUB# Chang is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Chang!

#R1# Sherman blocks a head kick by Chang.
Sherman shoots in and drives through. Chang sprawls well. Chang lands with a kick to the temple. Sherman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Chang throws a head kick that Sherman semi-blocks.
Chang looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Chang backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Sherman's temple! It sends Sherman violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Chang celebrates and the doctors try to help Sherman!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Maxwell Chang! A relieved looking Maxwell Chang thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
