#R1# A head kick misses from Orochi. Johnston tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Orochi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A jab lands there for Orochi. Johnston doesn't succeed with the takedown and Orochi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Orochi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Johnston has his takedown stuffed and Orochi counters with a lovely shot to the body. Johnston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orochi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Orochi lands an overhand right. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#CL2# Johnston clinches up with Orochi and pushes him back against the cage.#BC# Orochi manages to break the clinch.
Johnston tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Orochi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. #T1# Orochi scores with a head kick.
Johnston shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Orochi but Orochi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Katsumi Orochi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rudy Johnston. Orochi lands a nice looking kick to the body. Johnston takes a step back to recover. Johnston takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Johnston fails with the takedown and Orochi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Orochi getting the better of the striking in that exchange.#T2# Nice shot by Orochi. Orochi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnston at a distance.
Johnston on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Orochi. Orochi obviously looking to wear him down.
A low kick from Johnston is predictable there and Johnston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Orochi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Orochi connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnston looks to clinch and Orochi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Orochi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Johnston has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Orochi feints and then cracks Johnston's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnston down. Orochi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Johnston's head. Orochi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.#T3# Johnston looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Katsumi Orochi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A left lands for Orochi. Orochi punishes Johnston's body with a nice straight punch. Johnston looks winded! Johnston tries for a takedown but Orochi circles away easily and Johnston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Johnston fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Orochi avoids it really well and circles away. Orochi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Orochi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.#T4# Orochi cracks Johnston with a good jab. Johnston has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Orochi. Orochi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Orochi goes for a high kick. It partially lands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnston avoids the head kick by Orochi.
Johnston takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Johnston tries to clinch but Orochi moves away and Orochi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Orochi plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!#ROC#Johnston is rocked! Johnston has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Danga de danga de dang - Orochi scores with a four punch combination! Johnston is still on wobbly legs! Can Orochi finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Orochi cracks a nice hook into Johnston's ribs. Johnston seems to have recovered his senses. Orochi scores with a sloppy right hand. Johnston should have avoided that one. Orochi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Johnston walks into a jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Orochi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.#R2# Orochi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Johnston's head backwards. Crunch! Orochi slams his shin into Johnston's torso. Johnston drops his hands momentarily and Orochi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rudy Johnston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Orochi stuns Johnston with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Orochi scores with a hook. Johnston takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Orochi lands with a thumping leg kick.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Johnston takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.#TD2# Johnston closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Orochi's guard. Johnston is standing up over Orochi. Orochi looks to escape but Johnston dives into side control.
#T1##REVR# Orochi is trying to buck Johnston off.#ES# Orochi bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Johnston with a poor takedown and Orochi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Johnston is breathing heavily. Orochi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnston momentarily.
A left lands for Orochi. Orochi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnston's sensitive parts. Katsumi Orochi is winning the standup battle so far. Orochi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnston has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rudy Johnston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnston throws a head kick that misses letting Orochi counter with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnston doesn't succeed with the takedown and Orochi counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Orochi throws a quick inside leg kick. #T2# Orochi lands with a shot to the body. Orochi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Orochi jabs Johnston right on the nose. Johnston blinks but takes it well. Johnston ducks right into an uppercut from Orochi. Nice shot lands for Orochi. Orochi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Orochi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nice jab there from Orochi. Orochi connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnston throws a lazy head kick enabling Orochi to counter with a crisp jab. Orochi works the jab nicely.#T3# A solid leg kick lands there for Orochi.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Orochi throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Johnston is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

#R1##CL# Johnston pushes Asamoah up against the cage in a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Johnston.
Asamoah has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Johnston after a bit of a struggle. #TD# Johnston has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Asamoah regains guard immediately. Johnston controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Johnston stops Asamoah from standing up. Asamoah looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Johnston puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Johnston will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Johnston is taking a breather. Asamoah says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Johnston has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Asamoah defend it? Johnston steps over the head and cranks it - Asamoah is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johnston!

Rudy Johnston opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. |
