#R1# Daems lands with a nice combination. Ernesto backs away looking to recover. Ernesto shoots in but no luck this time. Ernesto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Daems attempts a counter takedown but Ernesto avoids it well and moves away. Daems tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ernesto paws at him with a jab and circles away. Daems closes the distance and clinches up with Ernesto, looking for a takedown. Daems pushes Ernesto against the cage but Ernesto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Daems fails to land with a series of punches.
Daems scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Daems shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ernesto defends it nicely. Daems tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ernesto counters with a straight right hand. Nice sprawl there from Daems as Ernesto shoots in. Jefke Daems has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pipo Ernesto. Daems changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ernesto tries to avoid it but Daems manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ernesto to the ground. Ernesto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ernesto circles away from the clinch attempt.

Ernesto lands a couple of good shots and Daems has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Daems trying to get back to his feet but Ernesto is in full control for now. Ernesto controlling from the back. Ernesto lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Daems.

Ernesto is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Ernesto is looking for the choke from the back position but Daems is controlling his hands well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daems is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Ernesto has the hooks in. Daems is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Ernesto just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Daems is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#ES2# Ernesto has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Daems is on him like a limpet, forcing Ernesto back against the cage. Ernesto effectively controlling the action here. Daems wants to break free but Ernesto has control.

Ernesto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ernesto is looking to stand up but Daems isn't so interested in that idea. Jefke Daems is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Daems will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jefke Daems. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daems has his takedown stuffed#KD2# and Ernesto counters with a crisp one two that drops Daems! Ernesto thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Daems to his feet! Daems is in big trouble! Ernesto throws a leg kick which misses Daems's front leg but catches the back leg as Daems tries to avoid it. Ernesto changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.#CL2# Ernesto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daems, pushing him back against the cage.#T4##TD2# Ernesto is trying to trip Daems. He has hold of a leg but Daems is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ernesto persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SU2# Ernesto stands up from guard. Daems is trying to maintain the position but Ernesto is very close to passing his half guard.#SU2# Ernesto decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. #TD2# Ernesto shoots in for a takedown from distance. Ernesto fails to land the takedown.#TD2# Ernesto fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Daems to the ground. Ernesto is now in Daems's guard. And that's the end of the fight! Pipo Ernesto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ernesto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

MacCarthy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.#TD# MacCarthy tries to sprawl but Ernesto drives through with a takedown into half guard. Ernesto content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. MacCarthy is looking to control Ernesto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can MacCarthy avoid being mounted? MacCarthy is not content to let Ernesto control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ernesto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ernesto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T1# Ernesto is looking to stall here but MacCarthy recovers full guard. MacCarthy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MacCarthy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ernesto's head backwards. Decent striking displayed by MacCarthy there.#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from MacCarthy enables Ernesto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. MacCarthy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ernesto is breathing heavily. Ernesto looking to sit in guard and control but MacCarthy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps.
