Lassiter has Jose pulled in close to control his posture. Jose looking to sit in guard and control but Lassiter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Jose is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jose working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lassiter. Lassiter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jose keeping moving, preventing Lassiter from controlling successfully. Jose can't keep his opponent in guard - Lassiter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jose wants to get back to his feet.#T1# Lassiter seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Lassiter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. and Jose connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jose is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. #R1# Li dives in for a single leg takedown but Jose sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jose tries to counter by clinching up but Li breaks away and moves out of range. Li walks into a left hand. Li with a poor takedown and Jose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Li tries for a takedown but Jose circles away easily and Jose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fred Jose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuchung Li. Jose throws a combination that misses #TD2# and Li decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jose's guard. Jose keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully. Li throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Li sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jose's guard. Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jose keeps working. Jose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jose tries to get out of the position. Li takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.#T1# Li not landing any meaningful shots this time. Li is controlling the pace.

Li cracks Jose with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Li cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
