#R1# Pereira lands with a nice combination. Solis backs away looking to recover. Solis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pereira. Solis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Pereira looks to land a left hand but Solis moved out of range nicely. Solis fails with the takedown. Pereira misses with a wild combination.
Pereira goes for a small jab and connects. Now Pereira goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Solis stumbles back but Pereira runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Solis to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Solis will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Pereira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shaw moves away. Pereira moves out of range as Shaw throws a body kick.

Pereira tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. #BC2# Pereira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shaw takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pereira scores with a jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shaw. Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. Pereira lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A swing and a miss from Pereira. Pereira throws a combination. Shaw tries to block but a couple of punches get through.#CUT2#It looks like DJ Shaw has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pereira scores with a jab to the body. Shaw is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pereira screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Swirly waves Pereira back to his feet!#ROC#Pereira is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Alex Pereira has been cut. Swirly throws a body kick that misses. Pereira is still on wobbly legs! Can Swirly finish him? Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pereira drops his hands momentarily. Swirly doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pereira staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pereira doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ed Swirly! After the fight, Ed Swirly was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

Killer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
