Lopez throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lopez throws a sloppy head kick and Pantoja moves out of range easily. It looked like Pantoja was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Lopez tries a head kick but it misses.
Pantoja takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Lopez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pantoja pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A head kick from Lopez lands but Pantoja takes it in his stride. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lopez throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD# and Pantoja counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lopez! #SUB# Pantoja tries for a kimura but Lopez is defending well. Lopez looks winded! Pantoja creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lopez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Lopez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pantoja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Pantoja thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pantoja fails to land a wild elbow strike.
#T1# Pantoja taking a breather here. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pantoja working the head with strikes. Lopez is letting Pantoja control him for a moment. Pantoja has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lopez takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Pantoja is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lopez's shoulder. That is not cool. #T3# Pantoja's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#SUB# Pantoja is working to tighten his grip on Lopez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lopez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pantoja is really squeezing tight and eventually Lopez passes out! Pantoja breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
