Brigand rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Li moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Li feints the counter takedown.
Brigand definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brigand tries to close the distance and clinch but Li swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Li changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Li counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Brigand tries to kick Li off in order to stand up. Li Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Brigand is not content to let Li control the position.
Brigand might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Brigand is out cold and this one is all over! Li climbs onto the ropes to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aiguo Li!

Brigand using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cannister has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Brigand is looking to break free of the clinch but Cannister has double underhooks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brigand misses with a hook to the ribs.
Brigand's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darthos Brigand.
I think Brigand has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
