Kremer throws a body shot but no joy. Sommer defending well as Kremer loads up on a big left hand. A countering left hand to the body from Sommer misses. A punch combination from Kremer misses. Kremer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kremer throws a sloppy body shot
and Kremer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sommer misses the jab. Kremer throwing a counter right hand but Sommer manages to avoid it. Sommer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sommer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kremer throws a body shot but no joy. Sommer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kremer with a body shot. Kremer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sommer. Sommer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Nice uppercut there from Kremer. Kremer lands a nice shot that snaps Sommer's head back.

Sommer's coach down at Räkälä was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sommer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kremer is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Sommer throws a hook to the side of Kremer's head but Kremer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kremer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Kremer looks to throw the jab but Sommer is out of range. Kremer looks to score with a jab to the body but Sommer is just out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sommer! But no joy. Sommer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kremer. Sommer tries to move into range but Kremer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

and Kremer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Prkl throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Prkl dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kremer cracks Prkl with a right hand to the side of the head. Kremer throws an off balance right hand
and Prkl cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CUT2#It looks like Daniel Kremer has been cut. Kremer misses the shot to the body. Prkl cracks Kremer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Prkl swings for the body but Kremer moves out of range.
Kremer scores with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kremer drops his hands momentarily and Prkl takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kremer cracks a nice hook into Prkl's ribs. Kremer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Prkl. Kremer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Prkl.

Kremer drops his hands momentarily. Prkl doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kremer staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kremer doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

#R1# Kremer jabs Johnson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Johnson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Johnson on the wrong end of a nice hook. Kremer throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Johnson stumbling backwards into the cage! Johnson bounces back off the cage towards Kremer, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kremer lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kremer celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Daniel Kremer! Our winner, Daniel Kremer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. |
