#R1##TD2# Hagibis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stuarts did well to prevent Hagibis getting side control. Stuarts is looking to control Hagibis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stuarts avoid being mounted? Stuarts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hagibis sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hagibis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stuarts reverses the position - he's now on top in Hagibis's guard. Hagibis wants to sweep here but Stuarts controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hagibis is controlling Stuarts's posture.#SUB2# Hagibis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stuarts defends well.#T1# Stuarts trying to control the position from guard on top but Hagibis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hagibis wants to sweep but no luck. Hagibis is adopting a defensive guard. Stuarts looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hagibis pulls Stuarts in close to his closed guard and prevents Stuarts from doing any damage or advancing position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Stuarts misses with a low kick as Hagibis jumps back. Stuarts throws a leg kick that misses. Hagibis moves out of range as Stuarts throws a body kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Stuarts. That's going to slow Hagibis down. #T3# Stuarts chopping away at his opponent's legs.
#TD2# Hagibis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hagibis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stuarts is looking for a sweep. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stuarts is not content to let Hagibis control the position. Hagibis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stuarts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stuarts tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hagibis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hagibis misses with the ground and pound. Stuarts wants to control but Hagibis postures up. Hagibis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stuarts parries the strikes from Hagibis easily there. Hagibis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stuarts to escape.
Hagibis working away.#T4# Stuarts is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hagibis off and has taken his back!#ES2# Hagibis is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Stuarts off. It looks like it's working - Stuarts slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Hagibis displaying calm under pressure there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stuarts lands a front kick. Stuarts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hagibis defends well and Stuarts ends up having to push Hagibis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#TD2# Hagibis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Stuarts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hagibis's guard. #REVR# Hagibis pulls Stuarts in close to prevent any damage. Stuarts preventing the sweep. Hagibis looks winded! Stuarts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hagibis swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jon Bayani Hagibis will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# Stuarts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hagibis avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Stuarts looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#TD2# Hagibis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stuarts's guard. Stuarts preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stuarts looking for a sweep. Not yet Stuarts, not yet. Hagibis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stuarts works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hagibis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hagibis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Stuarts lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR##T1##SUB2# Hagibis working for submissions but it's allowed Stuarts to get to half guard.
#SUB# Hagibis pushes Stuarts off, looking to escape but Stuarts dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Hagibis is forced to tap! The fight is over!
