#R1# Alvarez misses with a takedown #CL# and Bossan counters by moving into the clinch. Bossan stalls. Alvarez throws an elbow but it misses.
Alvarez misses with an elbow over the top.#TD# Bossan pulls guard. Alvarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bossan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bossan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bossan looking for a sweep. Not yet Bossan, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#ES# Bossan is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bossan pressing his opponent against the cage. Bossan prevents Alvarez from breaking the clinch.#T1# Bossan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. #TD# Bossan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Alvarez regains guard.
Alvarez keeping moving, preventing Bossan from controlling successfully. #SU# Bossan stands and steps away. Alvarez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. #TD# Bossan gets the takedown into side control. Alvarez is not content to let Bossan control the position. Alvarez is looking for a sweep.#T2# Bossan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Alvarez down.
Bossan wants to control but Alvarez is keeping him busy. #SU# Bossan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. #TD# Bossan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Alvarez is looking to get back to his feet here but Bossan is keeping cool and he's managed to take Alvarez's back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB# Bossan looking for the choke but no joy. #SUB# Alvarez is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
#T3# Good control from Bossan. A lull in the action here.
#T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bossan lands an elbow to the side of the head. Alvarez is trying to stand back up. Alvarez staying busy and making it hard for Bossan to control. Bossan just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Bossan controlling well, preventing Alvarez from escaping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Alvarez looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Alvarez is really stuck here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ahmed Bossan dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2# Alvarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bossan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alvarez somewhat. Alvarez scores with a head kick. Bossan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Bossan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
#CUT#It looks like Canelo Alvarez has been cut.#TD# Bossan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alvarez's guard. Alvarez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bossan manages to pass to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#REVB##SUB# Bossan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alvarez is just riding it out for now. Bossan eventually gives up the hold. Bossan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.#T1##SU# Bossan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Alvarez to stand up. Alvarez tries to clinch but fails miserably #TD# and Bossan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alvarez's guard. Alvarez wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bossan is now in half guard. Bossan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bossan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #T2# Bossan raining down hammerfists from mount. Bossan with the ground and pound from mount. Bossan trying to control but Alvarez is having none of it. Ahmed Bossan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#SUB# Bossan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Alvarez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
#T3##SUB# Bossan has hold of Alvarez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alvarez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bossan cracks Alvarez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bossan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
#ROC#Alvarez is rocked! Bossan unloading with bombs! Alvarez is still in real trouble! Can Bossan finish him? Bossan drops a big elbow. That's hurt Alvarez! More shots from Bossan and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
