Jones managing to control the position. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones is looking to sweep but instead, Murdermanis has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murdermanis is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Murdermanis is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Well, if Murdermanis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Murdermanis connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple. Murdermanis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones wants to improve his position but Murdermanis is controlling well.

And Jones counters with a quick kick to the body but Murdermanis blocks it. Murdermanis shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Murdermanis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Murdermanis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.#CL# Jones rushes Murdermanis and presses him up against the cage. Jones is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Murdermanis works his way into side control. Jones sneaks back into half guard.#T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Murdermanis wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it. #ES# Jones kicks off Murdermanis and gets to his feet. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Murdermanis paws at him with a jab and circles away.#CL2# Murdermanis darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage. Murdermanis goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Murdermanis shoots in but no luck this time. Murdermanis is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Murdermanis wants to slow Jones down by chopping away at his legs. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Murdermanis leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!#R3# A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murdermanis is defended easily by Jones. Murdermanis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Murdermanis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Murdermanis dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Murdermanis's head and hops out. James Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Murdermanis as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#T2# Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Murdermanis on that attempt. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Murdermanis shows good takedown defense. Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#TD2# Murdermanis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Jones is striking off his back. Murdermanis thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. #SUB2# Murdermanis is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Jones to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Murdermanis stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Jones. I think Murdermanis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
