Varland misses the body punch
and Manning counters with a head kick. That will keep Varland thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Markus Varland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Varland tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manning was well out of range. Poor timing from Varland.
Manning is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Oh Varland is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Manning feints a jab and as Varland dips his head, Manning unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Varland right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Varland falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Manning smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Cannon lunges at Manning with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Manning's hand. #CL2#

Manning pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon tries to close the distance and clinch but Manning swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #CL2#
Manning closes the distance and clinches.
Cannon lands with a left to the head.
Cannon can't find room to land a body shot as Manning controls the action.
Manning manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Cannon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cannon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Manning wants to control from the top but Cannon keeps moving.
Cannon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#
Cannon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Manning is defending well. Cannon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Manning has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cannon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
