Fanny keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fanny misses with a double jab.
Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fanny counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melvin Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fanny sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fanny is looking for a sweep. Fanny is not in a great position here, taking some shots. #T2# Sloppy strikes there by Diaz. Fanny stops Diaz from passing to mount. Fanny has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fanny content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fanny defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diaz. Fanny lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.#TD# Diaz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fanny did well to prevent Diaz getting side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that's the end of the fight! Dan Fanny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fanny has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Toivonen dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Diaz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Toivonen gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Toivonen stalls. Diaz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Toivonen pulls him back up using the underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Toivonen to keep the fight standing. Otso Toivonen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Toivonen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Diaz to stand back up! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz wants to clinch but Toivonen slips to the side and Toivonen counters with a lovely shot to the body. Diaz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.#T3# Diaz has his takedown stuffed and Toivonen counters with a crisp right that sends Diaz to the canvas! Toivonen follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
