We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Li can do anything to dispel that myth. Li is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. #R1# Holt throws a lazy head kick #TD2# and Li counters with a single leg into guard. Holt didn't expect that. Holt is looking to stand back up but Li counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Holt. #REVR# We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Li is controlling the pace.
Ground and pound from Li. Li slips a nice elbow through Holt's hands, connecting with Holt's forehead. Li passes to side control. Li grinds an elbow into Holt's temple. Li cracks Holt with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
