#R1# Izanagi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sousa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Izanagi. Sousa closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Izanagi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Izanagi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Izanagi's coach down at Cozad MMA Tokyo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Izanagi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sousa scores with a nice right hand.

#CL# Sousa rushes Izanagi and presses him up against the cage. Izanagi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!#BC# Sousa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Takashima Izanagi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sousa blocks a head kick by Izanagi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Some wild striking there from Sousa.
Sousa throws a looping overhand right but Izanagi ducks down to avoid it. Izanagi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Izanagi misses with a head kick.

A punch combination from Sousa misses. Izanagi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

#T1# Izanagi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sousa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Izanagi with a nice cross. Sousa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Izanagi. Izanagi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

No joy there for Sousa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sousa catches Izanagi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Izanagi looks to land a body kick but Sousa moved away. Sousa takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Izanagi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Izanagi is still on wobbly legs! Can Sousa finish him? Izanagi scores with a head kick. Sousa tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Sousa is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Sousa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Sousa cracks Izanagi with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Izanagi tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sousa pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Izanagi is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Oh, that's hurt him - Sousa falls to the canvas and Gregory follows him into side control. #CUT2#It looks like Jonathan Sousa has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SU2# Gregory stands up. Gregory misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sousa went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Gregory misses with a hook. Gregory will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sousa is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at California Top Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sousa is pressing down on Gregory's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Oh Sousa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB# Sousa has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gregory should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sousa has tightened it up now! Gregory should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

#R1##TD2# Magomedsharipov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sousa to the mat! Sousa manages to get full guard. Magomedsharipov stops Sousa from standing up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Magomedsharipov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! #SUB# Sousa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Magomedsharipov is aware though and is defending well. Sousa wants to sweep here but Magomedsharipov controlling him for the moment. Magomedsharipov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sousa wants to stand up but Magomedsharipov is controlling him. Sousa keeping full guard, as Magomedsharipov tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Magomedsharipov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sousa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Sousa wants to sweep here but Magomedsharipov controlling him for the moment.
