This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Will he be able to recover?!! Bear is breathing heavily. Barella drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Bear's head, knocking him out cold! Barella is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Welsh swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bear cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CL2# Welsh rushes Bear and presses him up against the cage. Bear is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Welsh is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bear to keep the fight standing. Welsh should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bear stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.#BC# Bear breaks from the clinch.
#TD2# Welsh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bear quickly recovers to half guard. Welsh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Welsh not doing much here.

That's going to take a lot out of Deonarine Sooklal. Sooklal takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bear connects with a body shot. Sooklal looks winded! Bear throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bear throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sooklal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Deonarine Sooklal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sooklal takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Bear scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Sooklal takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Bear lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Sooklal head around and knocks him out cold! Bear hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Freeman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bear sprawls and moves away. Freeman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Good leg kick by Bear. Freeman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shaggy Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Freeman has a takedown stuffed. Bear only half commits to the counter leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Freeman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bear! Bear really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freeman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1##SUB# Freeman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Freeman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB# Freeman has hold of Bear's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bear tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Freeman cranks the arm and Bear screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bear, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Bear circles away from the clinch attempt and Bear connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jenkins tries to clinch up but Bear circles away and keeps his distance. It looked like Bear was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jenkins. Bear connects with a body shot. Bear lands a jab to the nose. Bear lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#CL2# Jenkins moves into the clinch successfully.

Bear cracks Jenkins with a nice body shot. I was talking to Bear's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Jenkins jumps guard but Bear stands there with Jenkins around his waist. Jenkins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jenkins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jenkins fails in his attempt to clinch. Jenkins doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bear counters with a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bear throws a nice outside leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bear, as that shot connected.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Salman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bear sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Salman shoots and misses and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Shaggy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Fatih Salman. Salman takes a body punch but keeps moving. Salman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bear trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Salman manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! #REVB##T2# Salman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Salman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bear knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salman on the ground. It looks like Salman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... and Bear cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Salman throws a combination that misses and Bear counters with a nice uppercut. Salman shoots in but Bear avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bear fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Salman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bear lands a body shot.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salman. Shaggy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Fatih Salman. A punch combination from Bear misses. Bear just misses with a punch to the body.
Bear lands with a nice combination. Salman backs away looking to recover. Salman tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault. It looked like Bear wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. No joy there for Bear, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Salman with a poor takedown and Bear counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Salman is lucky that one didn't land flush. Salman is breathing heavily. Salman dives in and grabs Bear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bear pushes down on Salman's head and hops out. Bear throws a big counter combination but Salman scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.#T2# Salman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salman tries to close the distance and clinch but Bear swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Salman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bear's waist but Bear gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salman off to one side. Bear throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A lazy left from Bear finds it's target. Bear throws a body punch but Salman moves out of range. Bear takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bear uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salman. Bear went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.#T3# No luck with that takedown attempt from Salman. Bear swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. A decent looking cross lands there for Bear. Bear throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Salman on the side of the head. Bear moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Good exchange - Bear coming out on top. Bear takes a swing at Salman's ribcage but misses. Salman walks into a stiff left hand from Bear. That kick from Bear tenderised Salman's leg. Salman is trying to keep his angry face on. Bear throws a shot to the body.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Nice uppercut lands for Bear. That snapped Salman's head back.
Al Fatih Salman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear lands a nice hook to Salman's body. Salman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Salman takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

This is the final round!#R3# Bear feints with a jab and clips Salman right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Salman is sent crashing into the canvas and Bear leaps in for the kill! Salman tries to get to his feet but Bear is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Salman is in need of a savior and steps in!
