Maratov happy to just control the position for now. Peres's coaches at Bigfoot BJJ have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Peres lands a hook to the side of the head. Peres being controlled against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Peres wants to break the clinch but can't.
Peres has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Peres is trying to push Carrasco away but Carrasco has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Peres's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
