#R1# Lyle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hancock. Hancock ducks under a wild hook from Lyle. Lyle circles away from the clinch attempt and Lyle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lyle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lyle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lyle scores with the left hand. Hancock knows he should have avoided that one. Lyle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hancock is looking to clinch. Lyle looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hancock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lyle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A big left from Lyle misses. Lyle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hancock doesn't manage to clinch there - Lyle circles away.
Lyle lands a right hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A jab from Lyle finds it's way through Hancock's defenses. Hancock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hancock wants to clinch up but Lyle keeps it at a distance. Lyle slaps away a takedown attempt from Hancock, before circling back to the center of the mat.#T1# Lyle getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Eli Hancock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hancock gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lyle misses with a double jab.
Hancock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lyle throws a looping overhand right but Hancock ducks down to avoid it. Hancock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hancock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lyle, as that shot connected.
Hancock tries to clinch there but Lyle circles away.
Lyle looks like he wants to counter punch here. A telegraphed right hand from Lyle misses the target. Hancock tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lyle defends well and Hancock ends up having to push Lyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lyle lands a shoulder strike. A quick uppercut on the inside from Lyle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lyle working hard to break the clinch. Lyle digs a right hand into Hancock's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hancock's gas tank. A bit of stalling here from Lyle.
A head punch on the inside from Hancock fails to land. #T2# Hancock working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lyle lands a nice uppercut.#BC# Hancock breaks from the clinch.
Hancock moves to clinch but Lyle breaks away letting Lyle counter with a right hand. Hancock wants to clinch but Lyle slips to the side and Lyle counters with a straight right hand.#ROC2#Hancock is rocked! Hancock is looking to clinch but Lyle is avoiding it.
Lyle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lyle keeps the fight on the outside. Lyle has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Lyle connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hancock momentarily.
Oh Hancock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lyle cracks Hancock's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hancock slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Lyle can do further damage! This one is done, son!
