Pequeno shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mata eats them both and turns towards Pequeno to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#ROC#Mata is rocked! Mata dives in for a single leg takedown but Onyeka sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Onyeka lands with a right to the head. Onyeka can't find room to land a body shot as Mata controls the action.

#R1##CL# Ske rushes Mata and presses him up against the cage. Ske looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Ske tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ske is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mata is defending well for now. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Ske has Mata pushed against the cage. Ske really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#BC2# Mata escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ske will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mata appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ske misses with a straight right. Mata let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Ske has his takedown stuffed and Mata counters with a slapping leg kick. Ske keeps the fight on the outside. Mata avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

#R1##TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Mata enables Cool to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mata manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cool will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cool is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.#T1# Cool slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD# Mata gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cool to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mata moves in looking to clinch but Ware pushes him off. Mata throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Ware's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mata dives in looking to finish as Ware flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mata's strikes! Mata is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Ware's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Ware was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
