Johnson controlling from the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Bukovsky's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. #T2# Johnson lands a couple of elbows. Johnson wants to control from the top but Bukovsky keeps moving. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bukovsky looking for a sweep. Not yet Bukovsky, not yet. Bukovsky wants to control the position but Johnson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Johnson is looking to advance position but Bukovsky won't allow it. Johnson winds up and cracks Bukovsky with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bukovsky wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it. #T3# Johnson passes the guard and advances to mount! Johnson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Bukovsky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johnson landing strikes, looking to finish! Bukovsky sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Bukovsky is pressing down on Johnson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. #SUB# Johnson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bukovsky has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Johnson is looking to defend but Bukovsky has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Johnson! Bukovsky pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Johnson taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Robert Bukovsky! A very excited looking Robert Bukovsky rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Johnson manages to circle out of the way.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position.#TD2# Johnson has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Johnson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Jones is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. #T1# Johnson stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position. Johnson won't allow Jones to sweep him here. #SUB# Johnson looking to improve position, pressing down on Jones's thigh with his hand. Jones seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Johnson paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Johnson's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Jones picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
