#R1# De Azevedo avoids the head kick by Kim.
De Azevedo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kim defends it well. Kim throws a head kick that misses. Kim scores with a jab to the head.
De Azevedo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kim swivels and escapes. Kim feinted with a counter takedown. De Azevedo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kim lands an overhand right. De Azevedo staying out of range there. De Azevedo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kim as he avoids it easily. De Azevedo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. As De Azevedo tries to get set, Kim tries to push him back and clinch up but De Azevedo manages to avoid the attempt. Kim swats away the attempt to clinch by De Azevedo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Kim.
De Azevedo unleashes a big counter combination but Kim bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. De Azevedo throws a sloppy head kick and Kim moves out of range easily. #TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Kim. #T1# De Azevedo struggling a bit here. De Azevedo stops Kim from passing to mount. Kim remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kim in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Kim is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt De Azevedo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. You can see the frustration on De Azevedo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. De Azevedo is trying to improve his position. Kim takes a little break here. De Azevedo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#T3# De Azevedo tries to buck Kim off but Kim is having none of it. Kim has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kim controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kim cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kim content just to control the position here. #T4# Kim seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Azevedo for as long as he can get away with. Kim landing strikes from the mount. Kim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of De Azevedo's face.
Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kim postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. De Azevedo looks a forlorn figure.

Kim half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. De Azevedo seems to have recovered his senses. De Azevedo slips under a jab from Kim.#TD# De Azevedo gets caught flat footed, as Kim shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kim not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kim seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kim looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks De Azevedo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. De Azevedo is in trouble now - Kim has advanced to mount! Kim controlling the position easily from mount. Dong Hyun Kim dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!#R3# Nice takedown defense from De Azevedo. No joy for Kim on that attempt. Dong Hyun Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Azevedo avoids a punch combination nicely.
De Azevedo goes for a high kick. It partially lands. De Azevedo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kim as he avoids it easily. #TD# Kim closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kim lands in his opponent's guard. De Azevedo pushes Kim off and scrambles back to his feet.

Great action here. Kim remains in side control and seems content to stay there. Kim taking a breather here. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. More hug and hope from Kim.#T3# De Azevedo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kim asserts his dominance and retains side control. The referee asks Kim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kim prefers to stall for the moment though. Kim working the head and body with strikes. Kim content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kim lands a decent elbow from side control. Kim controls the position from side control.#T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kim defends well against a solid takedown attempt from De Azevedo.#CL# Kim rushes De Azevedo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kim looks to throw an elbow but misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kim has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by De Azevedo after a bit of a struggle. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kim is trying to work for a single leg takedown but De Azevedo pulls him back up using the underhooks. Andrei De Azevedo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dong Hyun Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kim wants a takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Dong Hyun Kim showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kim has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
