That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Merab Murkovitch. That's going to take a lot out of him. McGregor is pressed up against the cage. Murkovitch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McGregor down to the mat. McGregor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Murkovitch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Murkovitch wants it to stay on the feet. Murkovitch tries to counter with a takedown but McGregor is quick to defend against it. McGregor jabs Murkovitch to the body, keeping him at a distance. McGregor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Murkovitch but Murkovitch pushes him off and we're back to square one. McGregor shoots in for a takedown. Murkovitch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Murkovitch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Murkovitch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Devil wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Devil is trying to keep Murkovitch in close.
Devil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #SUB# Murkovitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Devil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murkovitch has managed to get both his arms back between Devil's legs - danger averted. Murkovitch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T1# Murkovitch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murkovitch's corner is telling him to maintain position. Yu Bin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murkovitch on the ground. Murkovitch advances position into side control! Murkovitch tries to advance to mount but can't.
