Brandt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

#R1##TD2# Pork gets the takedown into side control. Pork scores with punches from side control. Pork is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Pork cracks Brandt with a big right hand but Brandt just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Pork lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brandt down.

Pork is working Brandt over with some ground and pound from side control. #SUB2# Pork swings around for an armbar but Brandt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pork's guard. Brandt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grimes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brandt is on top in guard.

#R1##TD# Veron drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Veron controlling from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Veron tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Brandt is trying to control Veron's posture but Veron avoids it. Brandt is looking for a sweep. Brandt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Veron's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Veron looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brandt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Veron trying to control the pace. Veron moves nicely into side control. #T1# Veron lands a nice forearm strike. Brandt is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Brandt tries to bench press Veron off him but Veron keeps the position. #R1##TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Brandt enables Chavez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brandt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Brandt throwing short punches from the bottom. #SUB# Brandt has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Chavez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brandt has tightened it up now! Chavez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
