Mcdonald shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vailima is trying to defend but Mcdonald finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Vailima has left one of his arms exposed and Mcdonald doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Vailima screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Nix lands a nice shot to the body.

Vailima gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Vailima gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nix regains guard.
Vailima wants to get up but he can't break Nix's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. #SUB#
Nix pushes a forearm under Vailima's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Vailima is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
