#R1# Chito misses with a takedown and Chito takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chito throws a series of strikes that have Stumps backpedaling.
Stumps defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chito. As Chito backs off Stumps throws a huge counter combo but Chito manages to avoid it all. Chito with the inside leg kick. Stumps connects with a crisp jab. Alex Chito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chito misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chito stuffs the takedown. Chito with a nice cross. Stumps shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chito as he avoids it easily. #TD# Chito fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stumps sprawls well initially but Chito persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chito thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stumps makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stumps. Stumps looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chito is one step ahead there. #T1##SUB2# Stumps is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stumps has Chito pulled in close to control his posture. Chito controls from within his opponent's guard. Stumps not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chito tries to free his leg and advance position but Stumps is retaining full guard. Chito trying to control but Stumps is working from the bottom. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sloppy strikes from Stumps. Those never looked like landing. Chito throws a series of strikes that have Stumps backpedaling.
Chito lands with a hook. Stumps tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #CL# Chito closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #TD# Chito is trying to trip Stumps. He has hold of a leg but Stumps is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Chito persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stumps can do anything to dispel that myth. Stumps has a closed guard, preventing Chito from standing up. Chito postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#SUB# Chito drops back looking for a leg! Stumps is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stumps manages to kick Chito off! Chito jumps back into Stumps's guard. Chito working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #T3# Chito is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chito loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stumps really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chito connects with a couple of short punches. Chito scoring with some ground and pound. Chito trying to control but Stumps is working from the bottom. Chito forces his way into half guard. Chito working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SUB# Chito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stumps defends it well. #T4# Stumps keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Chito lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Chito looks to score some points with some ground and pound.#SU# Chito decides to stand and escape the position. #TD2# Stumps shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chito napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chito throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Stumps looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stumps gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Chito counter with a right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Let's get back to the scrappin!#R2# Chito lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stumps circles away quickly and effectively.#TD# Chito drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chito is putting a hurting on Stumps here, landing some big shots from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chito tries to move to mount but Stumps blocks the move with his legs. #SU# Chito decides to stand back up. Stumps doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stumps takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice shot by Chito.#TD# Chito darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Stumps is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SU# Chito gets to his feet - back to striking we go! #T1# Stumps keeps Chito at a distance using the push kick. Chito shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stumps as he jumps to the side. Alex Chito is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chito dodges the punch combination from Stumps.
Chito tries to bum rush Stumps with a series of wild strikes but Stumps uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#CL# Chito closes the distance and clinches. Chito tries to break the clinch but Stumps is controlling the position. Chito leaning against his opponent.
Stumps tries to pull guard but Chito holds him up against the cage and eventually Stumps drops back down to his feet.
Chito lands with a short shot to the head. #T2##BC# Chito manages to break the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action! Chito is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Chito works his way to full guard. Good work.#SUB# Chito has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Stumps should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chito has tightened it up now! Stumps should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Alex Chito was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

#R1# Stumps fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Powell lands with a hook. Stumps tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Powell digs a good hook to Stumps's body.
Stumps avoids the head kick by Powell.
Stumps shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Powell sprawls well. Powell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stumps gets slowly back to his feet. Powell misses with an uppercut. Stumps saw that one coming. Stumps feinted with a counter takedown. Stumps tries for a takedown but Powell circles away easily and Powell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hommer Stumps. That's going to take a lot out of him. Powell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stumps has time to react.#ROC2#Stumps is rocked! Powell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Stumps is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stumps takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Stumps seems to have got his legs back now. Stumps fails with the takedown and Powell counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stumps avoids the head kick by Powell.
OH! Stumps has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Powell smells blood and charges in for the finish! Powell unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Stumps sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
