#R1##TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Kloo enables Kataski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kloo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kataski scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kataski's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kataski advances to half guard. Kloo flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kloo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kataski working the head and body with strikes. Ground and pound from Kataski. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kloo can do anything to dispel that myth. Kataski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #ROC#Kloo is rocked!#SUB# Kataski is working for a kimura but Kloo is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kataski is nestled in close to Kloo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kloo is still in real trouble! Can Kataski finish him? Kloo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kataski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Kataski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kloo defend it? Kataski steps over the head and cranks it - Kloo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kataski!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kai Kataski! |

#R1##TD# Kloo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kataski's guard. Kloo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# Kataski has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kloo doesn't defend quickly enough and Kataski has managed to lock this one up! Can Kloo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kataski on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kai Kataski! |
