Volkov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Good sprawls well. Good wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Volkov gets slowly back to his feet.
Good appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Good seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Volkov for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Good has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Good remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Good pivots and extends the arm, Volkov falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Good! Well done that man!

A determined Corbin Good didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it! |
