Mak throws a sloppy head kick and Goodwin counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mak checks a leg kick nicely. Mak lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Goodwin tries to clinch there but Mak circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodwin with a poor takedown and Mak counters with a head kick. That will keep Goodwin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Mak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

As Mak looks to move away, Goodwin throws a big counter combo but Mak just gets out of the way. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goodwin. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glenn Goodwin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goodwin is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Goodwin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mak. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Goodwin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mak - the referee stops the clock and Goodwin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mak. Goodwin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Mak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mak wants it to stay on the feet. Goodwin misses with a takedown and Mak counters with a big head kick but Goodwin shrugs it off. Goodwin fails with an attempt to clinch.
#T2# A nice inside leg kick there by Mak. That's going to slow Goodwin down. Goodwin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mak can pounce on him.

Mak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Goodwin. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mak thows a body kick. Goodwin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Mak throws a series of punches but Goodwin avoids them all with ease. Goodwin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mak counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Goodwin tries to clinch but Mak moves out of range. Goodwin misses with a takedown attempt and Mak counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Goodwin is lucky that one didn't land flush. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Mak in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Goodwin misses with a kick to the body.

He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Goodwin tries to clinch up. Goodwin shoots in for a double leg but Mak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mak appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Goodwin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Goodwin misses with a shot to the body and Mak counters with a flying knee. Nice. Mak throws a nice outside leg kick. Mak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Goodwin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mak tries to avoid it but Goodwin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mak to the ground. Mak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Goodwin. Mak throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

#R1# Mak throws a head kick that misses. Coleman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mak throws a leg kick but Coleman moved away. Mak throws a wild body kick that Coleman sees coming a mile off. Mak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mak leaves Coleman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Mak, which made it look bad. An attempted straight right counter from Mak misses the target. Mak is looking to clinch. Mak dodges the punch combination from Coleman.
