and Nyambat counters with a single leg into guard. Aleksanyan didn't expect that.

Aleksanyan kicks Nyambat off and gets to his feet. #TD2#
Aleksanyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB#
Nyambat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aleksanyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Aleksanyan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gambaatar Nyambat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nyambat is working for takedown but Aleksanyan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Aleksanyan is pressed up against the cage. Nyambat has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aleksanyan down to the mat. Aleksanyan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Brandt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nyambat.

Nyambat is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Nyambat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB#
Nyambat drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Nyambat seems to have locked his on tight now - Brandt screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Nyambat, as he picks up the win!
