#R1# Bones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kante. Kante lunges at Bones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bones's hand. A telegraphed right hand from Kante misses the target. Kante with a nice cross. Bones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bones slips a jab and a cross from Kante.
Bones attempts a counter takedown but Kante avoids it well and moves away. Kante swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kante lands with an uppercut that bounces Bones off the cage and back into range. Kante misses with a body punch
and Bones counters with a series of strikes. Kante will be more careful next time no doubt. Kante ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bones moves away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kante connects with a body shot that sends Bones's belly button to the back.#CL# Bones drives through and clinches with Kante against the cage.

Bones pushes Kante against the cage but Kante circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bones throws a right hand that Kante ducks under and follows up with a left that Kante also avoids with ease. Bones fails with the takedown and Kante connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bones. Kante looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kante cracks Bones with an open hand slap. Bones tries to clinch and Kante counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kante has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kante, as that shot connected.
Bones is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Kante moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brehima Kante! During a confident post fight interview, Brehima Kante thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. |
