#R1# Bachopltn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smotritsky counters with a nice body kick. Smotritsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bachopltn manages to avoid it. Smotritsky wants to clinch. Bachopltn tries to counter with a takedown but Smotritsky is quick to defend against it. Smotritsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bachopltn paws at him with a jab and circles away.#TD2# Smotritsky drives through with a takedown into guard. Smotritsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Smotritsky trying to control but Bachopltn is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smotritsky is pushing down on Bachopltn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bachopltn is fighting to maintain full guard but Smotritsky has managed to sneak the leg through.#T1# Smotritsky trying to control the action but Bachopltn is working from the bottom. Bachopltn trying to hold on to Smotritsky's head to control him but Smotritsky postures up.
Smotritsky wants to pass to mount but Bachopltn is defending the position. Bachopltn is looking for a sweep. Smotritsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smotritsky stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bachopltn is looking to control Smotritsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bachopltn avoid being mounted?#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Still in half guard, Smotritsky seems content to control. Smotritsky passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bachopltn! Bachopltn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bachopltn tries to get out of the position. Smotritsky looking to control but Bachopltn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Smotritsky sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bachopltn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smotritsky on the ground. Bachopltn tries to get back to half guard but can't. #SUB2# Smotritsky has control of Bachopltn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bachopltn regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Smotritsky prevents Bachopltn from getting the reversal.#SUB2# Bachopltn tries to improve his position but Smotritsky has taken his back! Smotritsky has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bachopltn tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Smotritsky pushes Bachopltn away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
