#R1# Cool moves to clinch but Jansen breaks away and Jansen counters with a stiff right hand. Cool shoots in for a takedown but Jansen shows good takedown defense. #TD2# Cool shoots in and gets a takedown into Jansen's guard. Jansen is wriggling around but Cool manages to pass to half guard.
Cool scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jansen is trying to stand.
Cool seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jansen tries to kick Cool off in order to stand up. Cool Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jansen bucks up and tries to throw Cool off but instead Cool has got his back! Cool lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
#SUB2# Cool has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jansen is defending well but eventually Cool manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jansen has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

#R1##TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Mata enables Cool to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mata manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cool will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cool is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.#T1# Cool slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD# Mata gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cool to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cool slips nicely into half guard.#T2# Cool lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cool lands a nice short elbow. Cool has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cool perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. #SU# Cool stands up and beckons Mata to join him on the feet. #TD# Cool gets the takedown into side control. Cool remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Mata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cool. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Mata is breathing heavily. Mata felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. #R1# Mcintyre tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cool went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Left hook, right uppercut from Mcintyre. Mcintyre lands with a straight right. Cool didn't see that one coming. A looping hook to the body misses from Mcintyre. Cool does a little dance to reset his feet. Mcintyre scores with a nice head shot. Cool moves forwards but Mcintyre connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mcintyre looks to throw a body kick#TD# and Cool counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mcintyre won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cool is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mcintyre's shoulder. That is not cool. Cool landing a few strikes. Cool wants to stand but Mcintyre is controlling his arm. Cool working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #T1# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcintyre is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cool connects with a decent elbow. Cool really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mcintyre wants to control but Cool postures up. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Mcintyre is looking to regain half guard here but Cool keeps moving and retains side control. Cool is staying tight to Mcintyre's torso, preventing him from escaping. Mcintyre tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Mcintyre tries to reverse the position but Cool maintains control. Cool has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mcintyre's face.

#R1# Swanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Cool swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Swanson misses with a double jab.
Swanson darts in looking for a takedown but Cool gets double underhooks and turns Swanson into the cage. Swanson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cool keeps control of Swanson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. #BC# Swanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Swanson throws an off balance right hand
#CL2# and Cool holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. #BC# Swanson manages to break the clinch.
#TD2# Swanson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cool controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swanson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cool dives into side control.
Swanson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cool's guard. Swanson throws a strike but Cool rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# Swanson wants to sweep but no luck. Cool stays in close to Swanson's body and controls the position. Bryce Swanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Cool is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bryce Swanson. Well Cool has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
