He's simply no match for Cobt on the ground. Cobt works to advance to full mount. Smith defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Smith really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobt tries to control but Smith wriggling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobt content just to control the position here. Smith is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.#T1# Smith is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Despite the aggression on Cobt's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Smith throws a sloppy body shot

Ahmed Cobt dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Smith points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Cobt wakes up just in time to hear Smith thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

#R1# Cobt is looking to clinch. Lebedev throwing a counter right hand but Cobt manages to avoid it. Cobt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cobt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cobt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lebedev paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lebedev swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Cobt scores with a one two! Lebedev had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Cobt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lebedev went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Some wild striking there from Cobt.
