Carver drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carver slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Carver advances to half guard.
Rodgers is looking to control Carver's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rodgers avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carver tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rodgers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodgers.

and Carver connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rodgers throws a head kick but Carver moves out of range.
Rodgers shoots for a takedown but Carver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rodgers tries to sprawl but Carver drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carver connects with a nice short shot to Rodgers's temple.
Carver frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Carver lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Rodgers tries to improve his position but Carver has taken his back! Carver has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rodgers tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Carver pushes Rodgers away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Carver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Carver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carver.
Smith lands a lovely overhand right.
A left and a right from Carver both land. Nice combination. #CUT#It looks like Ruben Smith has been cut.
Smith misses the jab.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carver is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.#CUT2#It looks like Konan Carver has been cut.
Carver shoots in but no luck this time.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carver circles away quickly and effectively.
Carver tries to counter by clinching up but Smith breaks away and moves out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carver with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Smith to score with a decent uppercut.
Carver avoids the body shot from Smith.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Carver counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.

Smith lands a nice looking body shot.
Carver fails to land with a series of punches.
Carver tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab lands there for Smith.
Smith connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Carver's hands.
Smith throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Carver colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Smith as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Carver is left battered and dazed whilst Smith and his camp cheer!
