We've been hearing reports that Montoya has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Montoya moves away from the strike by Niratpattanasai.
Montoya half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Niratpattanasai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Montoya moves away.#TD#
Montoya fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Niratpattanasai to the ground. Montoya is now in Niratpattanasai's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Niratpattanasai flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Montoya anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Niratpattanasai and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Montoya slips an arm under Niratpattanasai chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Montoya has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Montoya is squeezing on Niratpattanasai like an anaconda would it's prey. Niratpattanasai fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
