A momentary lapse in concentration from Magomedov enables Cruz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Magomedov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Magomedov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cruz looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Magomedov can't hide his disappointment, as Cruz celebrates the victory.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cruz.
Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused O Conner some visible discomfort.
Cruz wants to take a breather but O Conner manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Cruz.
Cruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
