The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chebaani content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#T1##CL2# Chebaani pushes Pawn up against the cage in a clinch. A little nod from Chebaani there as he acknowledges the shot. Chebaani shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Pawn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Youssef Chebaani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pawn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chebaani gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Pawn gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nate Pawn! |
