#R1# The fight stays on the outside here - Butler looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Richardson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Butler is looking to clinch but Richardson is avoiding it.
Richardson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Butler defends it well.#CL# Butler rushes Richardson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Butler tries to land knees in the clinch but Richardson avoids the damage to the body. Richardson is trying to maintain a safe position but Butler gets an underhook and turns Richardson into the cage. Butler drops down looking for an ankle pick but Richardson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Pierre Richardson. Butler tries to clinch and Richardson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Richardson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

#SUB# Butler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Richardson defends well. Butler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Richardson's guard. #REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB2# Richardson has his foot on Butler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Butler works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB# Butler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB# Butler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Butler slips nicely into half guard.
