Colby darts in looking for a takedown but Marquez gets double underhooks and turns Colby into the cage. Colby avoids a punch combination nicely.
A low kick lands for Marquez.
#TD2# Colby scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Colby landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Colby working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Colby prevents Marquez from escaping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marquez is not content to let Colby control the position. Colby scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Marquez to see if he's OK. Colby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marquez keeps working. Marquez is trying to get back to his feet. Colby lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Marquez down.
Marquez is pushing Colby's head away, looking to escape. Colby manages to hold on to the position though. Colby cracks Marquez with a big right hand but Marquez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This has been an exciting period of action! Colby trying to control the action but Marquez is working from the bottom. #T1# Marquez is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Colby working the head with strikes. Colby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marquez keeps working. Marquez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marquez tries to get out of the position. Marquez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Marquez trying his best to control but Colby has mounted him. Colby lands a big elbow. Colby landing shots from mount. #ROC2#Marquez is rocked! Colby tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Oh Marquez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Colby working away from the top, dropping strikes. Marquez is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Oooooh, big shot lands for Colby! Marquez is hurt baaadly! Colby is firing away with more strikes - Marquez is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

#R1# The fight stays on the outside here - Dunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marquez looks to score with a jab to the body but Dunn is just out of range. Dunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dunn shoots in for a takedown but Marquez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Marquez swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dunn. Marquez shrugs it off though. Dunn takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jab, jab by Marquez - just one landing. Marquez has a takedown stuffed. Marquez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Marquez duly obliges. #ROC2#Dunn is rocked!#CL2# Marquez rushes Dunn and presses him up against the cage. Oh Dunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Marquez as Dunn tries to tie him up. Marquez scores with a hook to the body. Dunn seems to have got his legs back now. A short right hand to the side of the head by Marquez. Dunn tries to pull guard but Marquez won't allow it.
Marquez creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Marquez lands with a left to the head. #T1# Marquez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
#BC# Dunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL2# Marquez forces Dunn back against the cage and clinches.#BC# Dunn manages to break the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dunn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marquez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dunn scrambles back to his feet.#T3# Nice takedown defense from Marquez. No joy for Dunn on that attempt. Dunn drops his hands momentarily and Marquez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Marquez's coach down at Special Ops N7 Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marquez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Marquez steps in with a hook that catches Dunn right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marquez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dunn looks absolutely devastated.

Benavidez Marquez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |

#R1# Marquez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Marquez tries to work over Badai's front leg with a kick but Badai checks it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Marquez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Badai has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Badai and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.#CL2# Marquez gets a clinch. Badai misses with a hook from the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. #TD# Badai lands a takedown into guard.
Marquez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Badai dives into side control.
#REVB##SUB# Badai tries for a kimura but Marquez is defending well. Badai is looking to take a break and control but Marquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marquez tries to escape but Badai is in control. #T1##SUB# Badai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marquez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Marquez is looking for a sweep. Marquez looks to move to half guard but instead Badai has passed into mount! Damn! Marquez is looking to get to half guard. Badai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Badai tries to control but Marquez wriggling away. The referee warns Marquez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Marquez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Badai on the side of the head. Marquez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Benavidez Marquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T4# Marquez throws a good cross that connects.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marquez lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Badai - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Marquez!
