#R1# Nice sprawl there from Cordova as Morah shoots in. Devin Cordova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cordova misses with a few strikes there.
Cordova scores with a jab. Morah acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Cordova fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cordova takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cordova throws a combination that misses #TD2# and Morah counters with a single leg into guard. Cordova didn't expect that. Morah in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cordova will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Cordova escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Morah chips away with some ground and pound. Cordova fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Cordova is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Cordova lands an overhand right. Devin Cordova is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab from Cordova does it's job there. Cordova scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cordova scores with the left hand. Morah knows he should have avoided that one. Morah throws a nice looking combination but Cordova bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Morah looks winded! Cordova pounces like a tiger and cracks Morah with a vicious hook! Morah is down but not out! Cordova follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Devin Cordova! After the fight, Devin Cordova was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
